Commonly known as Saint George’s Sword, Mother-in-Law’s Tongue, Viper’s Bowstring Hemp, and its scientific name Sansevieria Trifasciata.
Native to tropical West Africa from Nigeria east to the Congo, it is an evergreen plant forming dense stands with beautiful shades of green, most commonly used as an ornamental plant in warmer climates. It is a popular houseplant because of its tolerance for low light levels and irregular watering.
